Baltimore Artist
Lee Stierhoff

Artist's Statement:
Lee Stierhoff is a self-taught artist who has been painting, showing and selling his work in the Mid-Atlantic region for the past fifteen years. Most recently, his paintings were chosen to be part of the invitational Art for Land's Sake group exhibition. He is a mindfulness practitioner and has been facilitating weekly mindfulness meditations for the past eight years. Lee spends much of his spare time in the woods with his dogs where he finds inspiration and enjoys the meditative quality of plein air painting. This style allows him to be fully present with concentrated awareness of his location. As he paints, he allows himself to let go of the outcome on the canvas and become increasingly mindful. In the process, he has a successful experience and a resulting work of fine art.
